Hello and Welcome!
I'm Gina and I am running for state representative for the towns of Chittenden, Mendon, Killington, and Bridgewater.
I live in a small cabin in Chittenden surrounded by the beauty of the Green Mountains. I’ve lived in seven states and several countries, but Vermont is home. It's a special place and one that I choose to invest in, which is part of why I am running to represent all of you.
I want to preserve what is best about Vermont--our communities, our mountains and rivers and open spaces, our working forests and farms, our local businesses, our historic villages. At the same time, I know that many of us struggle to make ends meet, to pay for things like childcare and healthcare and college--and all while working hard. I want to change that. I want to make sure you have access to jobs that pay a living wage, that if you want to start a small business, you can find backing. I want you to be able to afford a home and still be able to pay your bills. We all deserve opportunity and I will work to improve opportunities for all Vermonters.
When I’m not campaigning, I teach history, political science, sociology, and whatever else they ask me to teach (!) at the Community College of Vermont and at Green Mountain College. To make ends meet, I work as a freelance editor and proofreader. I also have experience working on education and conservation policy issues. On Saturdays you can often find me sorting reusables and shelving books at the transfer station--AKA, Chittenden Free Library and Hardware--because I believe in keeping things out of our landfills. C’mon down and say “Hello!”
